Customer Success Story
Metro Park in Ezeiza International Airport -
Aeropuertos Argentina 2000
Ezeiza New Parking

Ezeiza International Airport is the first airport in the world with a real-time computer vision based parking system. As part of a large-scale project to modernize Ezeiza, we installed metro park, a A.I. powered technology that allows organizations to detect free parking spaces and make them known to customers via digital signs. To carry out this enterprise, we integrated with Avigilon, a Motorola´s solution company. The end goal was to deliver an agile and satisfying customer experience, while providing the airport´s managers with real-time data science and a clear path to monetization.

When this project was launched in early 2019, implementing and installing this technology for Aeropuertos Aerolineas 2000 was complex and exciting. As an airport, it required a high level of security and the system had to be applied to 1800 covered and 3500 uncovered parking lots. It also involved the use of 200 pre-installed cameras.

This last attribute is specially groundbreaking, because the use of pre-installed cameras means that Aeropuertos 2000 did not need to invest in new hardware. Integration is one of our core values and it significantly reduces our customers costs. No need to dump and start.

“Metro´s solution stack was truly valuable to us as a company. When we had to choose among all the technologies available to us and Metro´s, we chose Metro for a simple reason: their services are number one, by far”, said Gustavo Mendez, Innovations and System´s Manager at AA2000.

METRO PARK´S system at Ezeiza covers 400 parking spaces by camera and has a 99% A.I. predictive capability. Visitors can now find parking spaces faster, as the newspaper La Nación explained in an article. We are proud to have provided this breakthrough service, making Ezeiza the first airport worldwide to take this step into smarter parking.
